Beloved artists in the Michigan music scene, their masterful harmonies and seamless vocal blend capture a room. Raiding family songbooks and sharing old tunes, Hearth & Hymn reimagines old songs and pens future classics through a queer, feminist lens.

June 27th | 8:00 pm Chris Bathgate is a celebrated singer/songwriter whose stark, heartbroken songs earned him a strong local following throughout Southeast Michigan before an international fan base joined the fold.

July 4th | 7:00 PM The dynamic, award-winning string quartet, Kodak Quartet, is setting the world on fire with their passionate and energetic playing. They are highly regarded for their work with contemporary composers on new compositions and for presenting traditional works with a contemporary flavor.

July 11th | 7:00 PM Whether you’re a fan of folk, rock, or anything in between, there’s something for everyone in The Hazel James Band’s diverse repertoire. Their setlists span decades, from the soulful sounds of the 60s to the indie rock anthems of today. With a captivating female lead vocalist paired with dynamic instrumentation, The Hazel James Band invites listeners on a musical journey that transcends time and genres.

July 18th | 7:00 PM The Marsupials are a band that defy easy categorization, weaving together a diverse tapestry of genres to create a unique experience. With rock, indie, funk, psychedelic, ska, and progressive elements, their music showcases an impressive array of musicianship while never being afraid to keep it simple for the sake of the song.

August 1st | 7:00 PM Pocket Watch is a Grand Rapids-based 6-piece jazz-fusion band mixing old-school funk vibes with a new-age jazz sensibility. Pocket Watch is comprised of Berklee and Michigan State alumni, with members hailing from various other groups around West Michigan like Minor Element, Earth Radio, the Verve Pipe, Squatch, Whorled, and Cosmic Knot.

August 8th | 7:00 PM Levitator is a psychedelic rock band from Petoskey, Michigan, known for their mesmerizing live shows and ethereal soundscapes. The band consists of lead singer and guitarist Robby Hovie, guitarist Sam Hovie, bassist Gabe Rellinger, drummer Dan Schillinger, percussionist Jeff Neill, and keyboardist Cole Oosthuizen. Levitator's music is characterized by Robby’s soaring vocals and intricate guitar work, combined with the band's dynamic rhythms and dreamlike textures.

August 15th | 7:00 PM Over the last decade, Ryan Curtis has continued to carve out a name for himself in Alt-Country and Americana music. His unique blend of old-school honky tonk and high desert country blues plays like a love letter to the past, bucking the slick sheen and tired cliches of today’s pop country radio in favor of traditional, songwriter-driven roots music.
